What does SNA look like with family (however that is defined) as the unit instead of the individual? Can we use networks to evaluate the impact of network-based interventions aimed at creating policy, systems and environment change?

Would looking at the network weekly and how it changes reveal insights to activities that foster engagement and/or community to the instructor? How would this compare with how students perceived their own engagement?

The more I learn about social network analysis as a tool, the more I am struck by its power to be used as a way to fully display relationships: between people, ideas, things.

This is central to Indigenous research methodology, which I plan to use as I move into my dissertation. I am hoping to learn more about the theoretical underpinnings of SNA so I can further build my theoretical framework and then use network analysis to investigate epistemic networks of science experts and students.

-AHO
