         <description><![CDATA[<div>Magna Carta: declared that the king and government were bound by the same laws as other citizens of England.<br><br>English Bill of Rights: The bill of rights stopped monarchs from suspending laws or collecting taxes that were not authorized by Parliament. the English Bill of Rights moved the English people from being subjects under the rule of one king to free people with rights under the government.<br><br>Petition of Rights: The Petition of Right was one of many factors that played a role in the breaking down of Charles I's relationship with his parliaments. His stiff stance on Arianism and the Five Knights case caused a lot of discontent too.</div>]]></description>
