Some students may work too slowly to complete something in class but make it clear they prioritize sports, core classes, or just keeping home time leisurely and homework-free at the expense of their grade. https://padlet.com/belzers/vulpr152p20s0wuw/wish/2303431485 As a parent of a kiddo with in a current sport, and with a job, I know they get really stretched for time. He has so little time to do anything beyond: sport, shower, eat, a bit of homework, sleep-repeat, then on weekends it's the same but add work in so sometimes he has even less time to work on things. We've learned that next season he won't be working, he's going to have to take a leave. For kids who HAVE to work to pay bills/help family, this must be incredibly stressful. Something to keep in mind.
