In 1966 he launched the first all black womens suit in satin silk and called this style "le smoking"; it was categorized as eveningwear, (this was very much uncommon for the 60s culture in itself).

overall this new aspect to womens fashion undertook a positive outcome within the fashion culture, but was not so relatable to the ordinary consumer that was more familiar with the formal lifestyle of the 60s culture; 
the le smoking suit started to have its true tribute that it deserved in the prompt 70s.

Elizabeth Smith Miller was the first one to design the version of trouser like clothing for women around 1851.

- It was a skirt to the knee length that extended into a loose turkish trouser that gathered at the ankle.

This design was paired to be worn with a short jacket on top.

Despite enjoying popularity in some circles, bloomers generated much controversy. Their everyday use faded away after a few years, and pants for women were again relegated to a limited range of activities, such as exercise or chores, or were worn in private.  

After the world war women would pnly wear still trousers for sports and work, until the 1960s/1970s and having the womens right movement evolve; trousers became a popular and appropriate clothing option for women to wear in public, at work and at home.

In order to work side by side with men in the workplace, women had to stay inconspicuous.

The 80s was the working years for the women, as many more women were entering the work place then ever before.

Overall working women had to look the part working in the city, they did this by implementing menswear-inspired power suits. The powersuit was paired with a buttuon-down smart white cotton shirt or a silk blouse. The blouses for the formal wear were inspired from the victorian era, with the collar bow detailing and the voluminous sleeves; as well as implicating the high neckline that came from the 1940s.

They would also wear mid cropped blazers with the large shoulder pads, paired with a highwaisted a-line straight-cut midi skirt.

To complete the professional style, a women will wear matching pumps in the colour scheme of nude or black.
