         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Synchronized swimming demands advanced water skills, great strength, endurance, flexibility, grace, artistry and precise timing, as well as exceptional breath control when upside down underwater.&nbsp;<br>Competitors show off their strength, flexibility, and aerobic endurance required to perform difficult routines.<br>The Olympic pool this sport takes place in, must be at least 9 feet deep (approximately 2.7432 meters)<br>The swimmers cannot touch the bottom of the pool.<br>The routine has to be clean and coordinated, all swimmers must look like one swimmer.</strong></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Competitors wear custom swimsuits, usually elaborately decorated with bright fabric and sequins to reflect the music to which they are swimming to.<br>The swimmers use gelatine, a substance used in food products like jelly, to harden their hair so it does not fall out of place during the competition.<br>Competitors wear a rubber nose clip to keep water from entering their nose when submerged.&nbsp;<br>Some swimmers wear ear-plugs to keep the water out of their ears.&nbsp;<br>A decorative swim cap is bobby-pinned to the<br>&nbsp;competitor´s bun.<br>Water proof make up is also required, some swimmers decide going for a "natural look" while others decide doing bright and theatrical make up looks.</strong></div>]]></description>

         <title>ROUTINES</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>E<strong>ach competition has two heats which are performed to music. One is a technical routine that lasts no more than 2 minutes, 50 seconds and has a set of five required movements. The other is a free routine that lasts three to four minutes.<br>The type of routine and level of difficulty, determines the length of the routines. <br>Routines typically last two to four minutes, the shortest being the technical solo, with length added as the number of swimmers is increased (duets, teams, combos and highlight). Age and skill level are other important factors in determining the required routine length.</strong><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Svetlana Romashina<br>Russian synchronized swimmer, and considered the best athlete in synchronized swimming. <br>She won the golden medal in 2008 Olympic Games, again in 2012 and she won the golden medal in both categories (team and duo) in 2016 Olympic games. <br>She has the highest rating ever seen in synchronized swimming history, being of 42 points.<br></strong><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>HISTORY OF SYNCHRONIZED SWIMMING </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>It was first known as "Water Ballet", and it was only shown in theaters, where the (at the time) "dancers" performed inside of a glass tank. <br>The first sychronized swimming competition took place in 1934, in Chicago, and it was&nbsp; introduced as "rythmic swimming". From there, lots of swimming teams were formed<br>Katherine Curtis, is considered the pioneer of this sport.<br>It was not recognized as a official sport until 1942.<br>Synchronized swimming joined the Olympic Games in 1952.<br>It became the forth official water sport next to swimming, platform diving and water polo in 1968.<br>In 2017 it was renamed as "artistic swimming" to popularize it.</strong><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>While synchronized swimming is one of the most visually beautiful sports, is one of the most dangerous too.<br>Athletes spend 8 hours in the pool, with little to no inches of separation between them, so it´s easy to hit a teammate in the head or somewhere else.<br>Concussions and tendon injuries are the most common, along side knees and rotator cuff.<br>It´s very important for athletes to be very careful and strech before and after entering the pool.</strong></div>]]></description>
