What/who is the film about?

Its about a train conductor in post WW2 germany answering for his crimes.

Who is your audience (what type of people would go to this film? Be specific!)

The target audience of this clip would be my ethics class where we were discussing the Nuremberg trials.

What is the important point this screenplay should make?

I want it to make a clear statement for both sides of the argument, of how the train conductor was just following orders and how he could have stopped at any time.

What do you want the audience to do and/or feel?

I want them to feel something. Of what I do not know. It could be sadness, dread, justice. it will be up to the audience to decide.

Please describe a minimum of two characters using this guide.
(Links to an external site.)

The train conductor was a short and stout man, not much over 5'8". He looked hefty, though that was just through the baggy clothing he mostly wore. He would have looked more at home telling stories of the past with his grandchildren at his feet.

The lawyer is a tall, built out person. He has brown hair with a receding hairline and was always seen in a classic three piece suit.

Why does this story matter to you? Why did you choose it?

It matters to me because I want my ethics class to be put to good use. Also, I felt as if we didn't spend nearly enough time debating how guilty the soldiers were.

Why will your audience be interested in this?

Because it will be an interesting thought experiment

How will you grab their attention?

loud train sounds.

How did this fourth week go for you? What was challenging? What could Mr. Burr have done better?

This week was actually very light and manageable. The most challenging thing that I learned was making the Dialogue sound right. First of all, I had to make it sound like somebody would actually say it, and that it wouldn't be too edgy.

What was the most valuable thing you learned this summer in Mobile Media? Why?

The most valuable thing was that I learned how to navigate around iMovie. Whenever I make a video from here on out, I will able to use this.

How do you feel about the storytelling? Are you proud of your project? What went well? What could go better?

I feel really good about my storytelling. It came from 3 sources: Ethics, my dad, and a video I saw online. Ethics gave me the idea and some of the lines. My dad as an English Major and a WWII buff helped me on that front. Lastly, the video I watched on this gave me a lot of lines and ideas. The thing that could go better is the formatting.

Any final comments you would like to leave about this class. Likes? Dislikes? Room for improvement?

I liked the class because I like hands on creating something.
