Sentence: They made cogent reasons to why schools shouldn’t give out homework.
Synonym: persuasive
Antonym: ineffective
Free write (5/9/19): Time for my debate match. Today’s topic was about the school dress code. I decided that I disagreed with it and my opponent chose to agree with it. After a long day of research it was time to debate. We both made cogent arguments about what we thought. We had a time limit of 10mins per speech, so we were trying to read fast and getting our points through, while being just slow enough for the judges to understand us. After we both were done it was time to decide the winner. After long anticipation I lost. We both did great but his argument was better. Next time I will be sure to win.

I yearned for it to come back to my hands so I could text again. Now it was time to check the living room. After I was finished it was messier than my room. “My parents are going to kill me when they come back.” I said to myself. Next area to search was the kitchen. I looked carefully on the counter and still there was no phone to be seen. After all day of looking for it, I realized something. There was a square shaped item in my pocket. My phone was in my pocket all this time.

Sentence: The main points were lucid, straightforward, and logical.
Synonym: comprehensible
Antonym: unclear
Free write (5/16/19): It’s Sunday right now and I have my essay due tomorrow. I have worked all day and I was just resting before I finished my last paragraph. “I am going to get an easy A” I said to myself. My grade was on the 88% mark in ELA and if I score at least a 90% on the essay and do the extra credit work I could get my grade to 90%. I finished my fortnite match and it was time to finish up my essay. After I was done I was going to double check my work. My main reasons were lucid and logical, the paragraphs were solid, and I indented all my paragraphs. I was surely going to get an A on this. I turned it in and now have to wait a few days till I get my results back.

Suddenly something happened. One of my vases started to fall. I dashed on the floor, and luckily I caught it without damaging it at all. I thought that was it, then one of my figurines fell. I used my other vacant hand to catch it. I was so glad that nothing broke. Quickly I took all the breakable items off the self and put them on the ground. I will definitely need another place to store this stuff.

There has been a rumor about an elusive silver bunny that was roaming near town. I tried to look for it, but I wasn’t very sure I would find it. I first went to the forest. I looked through the crooked bushes and trees and all I found were thorns. I continued going deeper into the forest. There was a little den I could spot from the corner of my eye. I headed there. I could see the bunnies. The only problem was that they were just white and not silver. I guess it was just a rumor after all.
