In the 2010 decade, Netflix, Crunchy roll and other streaming platforms got streaming rights to air shows that were made in Japan. This was a big thing because these platforms made it easier for people to watch anime world wide (legally). This also helped anime economy.

In April 2010, AngelBeats! was released. This event is important to anime, because it was the first Anime to come from original ideas and not be based off a manga. This showed other anime writers that original ideas could be successful

Change in audience. K-ON became very popular. K-On! introduced teen girly pop anime. They introduced music tracks which became popular helping them sell merch such as figures and soundtracks.

Attack On Titan. Attack on Titan came out in September 2013. Attack on Titans is about how the safe place humans have been hiding is compromised by the titans. During the titans attack, one of the soldiers watched his mother get eaten which lead him to vow to kill every titan and he ends up doing this with the help of his friends that survived.
