Even the design of the LWGR reactor involved the 1986 Chernobyl disaster, Russia has 12 different nuclear plants that have LWGR reactors. Of course, there are some major changes for making it safer and make it efficient.  Except for Russia, Lithuania and Ukraine use LWGR reactors in their nuclear plants too.
