When it comes to my preference of music, I prefer to enjoy the sounds that are in my ear and to be relaxed by them. Heavy Metal does the complete opposite. Heavy Metal makes me feel like an outcast because I know there are people out there who enjoy this genre, but I simply can not sit and listen without the urge to plug my ears in fear that I might burst an ear drum. When I hear of people listening to Heavy Metal I naturally sympathize for them because there is no element in heavy metal other than loudness. I wonder if the people who listen to heavy metal experience the dark ominous feeling, and if so, do they enjoy it to the point where that’s the reason why they like heavy metal? I know for me, I continue to listen to a certain genre because it makes me feel good/ positive or better about a situation.
