The Newborn (Birth to One month)

It is a crucial time when your baby are adjusts to the life outside of the womb. You will expect during this stage is Reflexes, Self-Soothing, Vision, and Duration
Reflexes - you will start to notice that your baby have Moro (startle) reflex where they will arch their back and extend to their arms and legs in response to loud noises or movement. Other reflexes like sucking, rooting, stepping, and grasping will be happening in this stage
Self- Soothing - Babies will love to suck, so they will use Pacifiers them help calm. If pacifier is not available, they will find their thumb or fingers to soothe themselves
Vision - They will have fuzzy eyesight and are nearsighted. They can see best when they are 10 inches or less but can recognize faces and gestures.
Duration - They typically last for 4-8 weeks after birth but depend on different definitions. Durning this time, rapid will be change occur like feeding patterns.

One to Four Months
