In the event that theres is an area of concern (behavioral, social, physical, language, etc.) The instructor makes note of it and decides what happens next. This may be where the instructor contacts the appropriate person that would assist in further discovery or a conference with the student and/or parent.</p>]]></description>

Behavioral or socio-economic concerns are usually referred to the social work team or the Dean of Culture. Learning needs or language needs are referred to the Dean of Specialized Services. Teacher may contact parents before this point or the administrator or other staff member may make parental contact.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Data is reviewed from the diagnostic &amp; inventory tests to determine if a student needs specialized services. If a student is eligible for SpEd services, there is an initial meeting with all of the child's teachers, parents, a learning specialist, and the Dean of Specialized Services. There may be multiple meetings to establish a plan to meet the student's needs. </p>]]></description>

This will outline the student's needs, accommodations, means of differentiated instruction, and goals and benchmarks.
