CW - I was previously using the formative checkpoints assigned with the lessons in the CIM. Now I use portions of the lesson and questions from the independent practice.

I use the MCAP Guided Practice section of the packets, IXL Skills from that standard, and MCAP release items.

I use open-ended questions during the explore, communicate lesson objectives/expectations so students know what to share during summarizes, observations during group work feedback, give descriptive feedback, and provide students opportunities to re-engage/revisit/revise.

I read the formative assessment out loud to the entire class. I chunk the question so they include everything the question asks for, and I reword the question as needed. sometimes i add a template, like a tape diagram or an answer box. Sometimes I time the test but for 2nd grade it doesn't always work. I also have tweaked the 3 read so it matches the one that we use at Baden

CW - The formative checkpoints that I use in my room include observation of task completion, observation of processes, call and response (whole group and call and response individual student). I also use some of the DQ question stems regarding level 1-level 3/4 depending on the group and/or challenge. Group Jam

I use that data to form my focus groups. and for Purposeful Pauses I try to fix their errors.
