  • What has been happening in your book since your last post? Since the last journal post, I met one of the main characters, Heathcliff, who was a baby that was left alone and abandoned in the cold. He was rescued by Mr. Earnshaw, who brought him into his home to raise him as his own. 
  • Has your experience with this book gotten better or worse since your last post? Why? My experience with this post has gotten better because now the author has my attention and I am more curious to find out more about the characters. 
  • What have you noticed about yourself as a reader? Name 2 qualities or patterns that you have noticed about yourself while reading. What I have noticed about myself as a reader is that I am more and more curious every time I read. Two qualities I have noticed about myself while reading is that I am able to understand what’s going on and that I am able to understand the setting 
  • Set a goal for when you would like to finish this book.
    • The goal for when I would like to finish this book is 84. This is not a reasonable number because that seems too long for a book to take to finish reading.

    What has happened in my book since last week is that Nelly, came and had a message for Mr. Hindley about how his wife was going to die because she was in consumption for so long.

    This book does not have a conflict so far. I can predict that there is going to be a war between the people in Wuthering Heights. 

    3. How are you enjoying the independent reading time? 
    I am enjoying the independent reading time very well because it gives me something to do to help me relax.

    The main character, Mr. Lockwood is a man who seems interested in history. Two traits he shows are curiosity and intelligent.

    • How are you progressing in this book? Now that it has been almost two months. Are you moving along? Or do you need to make a new plan?

    I have been progressing at a slow pace. I am moving along very well. I need to make a new plan on when I will be able to finish the book.

    • When can you finish this book?

    I can probably finish the book by the start of December
