I’m reaching out to invite you and your network to join us for our 2021 Leading with Purpose series, which is run by our Chief Program Officer, Dr. Max Klau. This online 90-minute session gives participants the opportunity to clarify their personal leadership mission and is a great way to kick off the new year with a refreshed intention for the months ahead. If you have community members interested in the political arena, it’s also a great way for them to meet us and get to know our upcoming 2021 programming.

We’ll be holding the program on: Wednesday, January 6th from 8:00-9:30pm EST and on Monday, February 8th from 8:00-9:30pm EST. The 2020 uprisings against police brutality, beginning in Minneapolis and Kenosha and spreading to all fifty states, have reignited debate around demands for police reform, defunding, and abolition. How can we better understand each of these demands, and what are the core tenets behind them? Where do they overlap and diverge? What concrete policy changes are needed to achieve them?

Join Carlow University’s Social Justice Institutes and the Atkins Center for Ethics for a panel demystifying recent calls for police reform, defunding, and abolition. Co-moderated by SJI Program Assistant Adrie Fells.
