All of them were the first or second colored Americans to take a hold of office. The 15th amendment allowed for any skin color to vote. I actually get to vote and I voted for that Hiram Revels guy. He seemed the right guy we need. I don't know much about these politics but i'm just happy I can participate. Those republicans are real kind folk. I hope to become one of them soon after I save enough crops to sell.

First off, it didn't solve any of the issues that caused the Civil War. I tore the country more apart because Democrats were in control. The military was pulled from the districts therefore laws weren't enforced anymore. Basically Reconstruction was a waste of time and money although we did earn the 3 amendments that are vital to America today, which are the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendment.
