Choosing a soundtrack or genre of music can be tricky when incorporating it into a movie. The music there is will have a huge impact on the viewers emotion. So on behalf of that is important to make sure you have picked the appropriate soundtrack. Throughout the book starting at page 1 to 98 here are some of my thoughts on the soundtrack/genre of music.

Throughout his scenes in the courtroom (Steve) I believe a more serious or grim music would be appropriate for this part. Maybe a symphony of orchestra, with cellos/violas holding the melody making the music more intense. (Example 1)

The story monster tells the story of Steve Harmon, a sixteen-year-old boy who's on trial for being accused in a drugstore robbery. Two young men, Richard Evans and James King, rob a drugstore. Though it's unclear just how involved Harmon is in their crime, the narrative suggests that he did little more than listen to them plan. While awaiting trial, Steve is imprisoned with the fourteen-year-old Osvaldo Cruz.

I think that either like Will Smith or Jamie Fox should play Steve. I think this because from past movies Will Smith has played in movies such as Hancock. He plays in a lot of great action movies and he's a great actor as well.

Will Smith would play a great Steve Harmon because of some of the great movies he has played in. He is definitely one of my favorite actors. The reason I would also pick him is because one Steve is an African American male so it would only make sense to use a black male. Second of all, he has played in movies somewhat like this book. He plays in quite a bit of movies where he is a prisoner so he's pretty used to wearing orange jumpsuits.
