what have you learnt about different technologies from the process of constructing this product?

I used a wide variety of technologies to complete my media product, including:

- Imovie.

- Powerpoint.

- Blogger.

- Pixton.

- Prezi.

- Voki.

Etc...

I tried a few out for a few different things to see whether i enjoyed using them and found them easy to use.

Technologies i found best and enjoyed using and could use well:

Some of the technologies I did not get on with well and struggled to use them efficiently.

I enjoyed using:

- voki - I found this website to be easy to use and effective to get across the point i wanted to make. However, the voice could be hard to understand at times. I also found Voki fun to use.

- Powerpoint - As i've used this programme lot's of times i found it easy to use. A programme i enjoyed using along with this was slide share, it was quick and easy.

- Slideshare - this made uploading my powerpoints to my blog easy and quick.

-Survey monkey - I had loads of fun on survey monkey. I enjoyed creating the questions and planning it out. It was also an easy way to get lot's on information together in one place. It wasn't too difficult to use, however there was the issue that not many people filled in my survey's so i had to go from what i had.

Another i really enjoyed was voki, i enjoyed this because it was fun. Therefore the work seemed less daunting. I enjoyed the process of making your own character and chosing their voice and it's easy to type up what you want them to say and also it is simple to upload onto your blog. However, the problem with Voki is that the voice could be hard to understand

A third technology i really enjoyed using was 'Pixton', again i think it was because it was fun and it managed to turn an evaluation question into quite a creative task.

The technology i found most effective and easy to use was Power point and slide share. Power point is a neat, tidy way to get lot's of information in one place and slideshare made it easy to upload my powerpoint presentations onto my blog. It looks nice on your blog and is easy to do.

Some of the technologies i used i had used previous times or at least heard of.

For example:

- Powerpoint.

- Prezi.

- Imovie.

- Prezi.

- Voki.

Because i had already heard of/ used some of the technologies for previous projects, it made my whole blogging experience much easier. As i already knew how to use them so it didn't make too long to get stuff done.

Technologies i didn't enjoy using:

Some of the different technologies i found difficult to use, either because they were too advanced for what i wanted them for or i couldn't get my head around how to work it.

I didn't enjoy using:

-Glogster - a few times i clicked on the wrong thing and lost all the work i had just done.

- Prezi - I just found it was quite complecated for something so simple.

I tried to use a wide range of technologies throughout the construction of my media product. This way i could keep my blog interesting and also improve some of my skills. I looked into a whole load of different online technologies, to see which would fit best with what evaluation question. I triied to find ones which fitted best and made the question easy to lay out. This is why i liked power point and slide share because it looked neat and tidy on my blog. The task of using a different technology for each evaluation question and using a variety of technologies on my blog helped me to get my creativity up. If i find something fun i am more likely to do it. Also, know i have gained a better knowledge on a whole load of technologies i'd never even heard of before. Now i don't have to just do boring text, but i can experiment and it wont take too long because i now know my way around a lot of the websites.
