The mind map was a plan for the project proposal, i used the details from the assignment brief to assist me with the mind map, as well as using the knowledge i already have to answer the questions that i could at the moment.

The final thing we did today was conduct an interview to develop my skills and knowledge, the interview consists of me (out of shot) asking a peer four questions, tow of the questions were about travel and the other two about his experience with the college. We analysed the audio, equipment used, and the camera angles and debated on weather or not they worked and were appropriate to the video. 

The second thing we did today was look at teleprompters and see how they were used, we then were put into groups and told to download a teleprompter app, we then had to create a script about an area of college the area that we chose was the media department as this is an area that we are familiar with, however i struggled slightly which writing the script as another was writing it down and the rest of the group were telling him what to write, i struggled as their was not much order when we were righting the script and many people were talking over each other, so the person writing the script was slightly confused. 
       
The final thing we did today was film each member of the group reading the script, every member of the group had to do this, however one member refused. We used lapel microphones when filming as they were the most suitable for the task. I did not enjoy being filmed while reading the script as i found it awkward and uncomfortable, i do not want to do that again, as i would like to be behind the camera on the production team as apposed to in front of the camera. We also filmed B rolls so when we edit the video we will be able to show areas of the college and will not have to make a video of just a person talking to the camera, however while we were filming the B Rolls some of the locations we wanted to film did not work out due to the awkward lighting, and others due to members of the team disputing what would be the best shots for the B Roll.]]> 2017-01-11 15:25:29 UTC https://padlet.com/nancy_vivien_lee/vstyj1dx8ka6/wish/146537820 12/1/2107 nancy_vivien_lee https://padlet.com/nancy_vivien_lee/vstyj1dx8ka6/wish/146794402 The first thing thing we did in today's lesson was discuss the work that needs to be finished for task one, and the deadline for it, the conversation continued on to what needs to be done for task two and what the deadline is for that section of work.

We were then given the task of deconstructing a promotional advert, we had studied the adverts yesterday, so i had a good understanding of the adverts and what was good and bad about then, the advert i chose to deconstruct was an advert about a dance class for people with SEND, the task was not too difficult as we were given a template to follow in order to properly discuss the video. 

The final things i did today was to make my brief mind map about the project proposal more in depth and have more information about the project, without going into extensive detail. Then i started to make a document of the project proposal, this document has the same information as the mind map, however it is more detailed and has more information about the project. We were the n told to go not the computers and edit the footage we shot last week, this was somewhat difficult as i did not really know how to edit, however the lesson we had before was very useful and i was able to figure out most of the issues with a peer. 
We were then told to shoot a few seconds of footage of a a person in three different lightings, dark, light and an area of our choose, we were put in groups for this task and each took turns at the jobs of filming and folding the light. We had to record the F stop, shutter speed and iso used for each lighting. In order to do the interviews we first had to write some questions down, this was not easy, as we had not prepared the questions before, because we were unaware we would be interviewing people, we wrote some brief questions before we went to the department, when we got to the department we had a little bit of time to improve the questions we had and write some new ones

After this had been completed we were taught how to use the app Garage band, we were put in pairs and had 5 minutes to make a song in the app. 
We were then showed an advert for an energy drink that had the sound removed from the advert. We were told to use the app to make a song for the advert as well as a short paragraph we had to record ourselves saying. This was difficult as i do not have an iPad, so their for i could not record a song without waiting for someone to finish theirs first so i can borrow their iPad, I also struggled with recording the paragraph, as i do not like being in productions and also the words swede confusing and did not make any scene. In order to record the audio of me speaking we used a lapel mike which was connected to a phone that was recording, this is to make the sound quality good and clear.

Before we went down to the department we did not have much time to write the questions, we did not include questions about SEND or the Essex local offer, however we did ask another group, who interviewed the same people what the answers to their questions about the Essex local offer and SEND, and none of the people interviewed knew what the Local offer or SEND was.  Another issue with the questions is that some of the people being interviewed did not understand what the questions were about, because they were not specific enough.  We then had to write up about our findings from the interviews with the people with SEND. We were taught how to use the app Garage band, we were put in pairs and had 15 minutes to make a song in the app.

The second part of paperwork that i needed to complete was the contingency plan, this is a plan of action that details some possible scenarios that could disrupt the making of the production, and solutions that would solve the issues.

The activity was called upwards with downs, this is a club for mothers and there young children to attend to develop many skills and socialise. We started by filming and recording the children playing, as well as learning songs, sign language and reading. We then filmed the outside of the building, we decided not to record audio for the outside of the building as the wind was very loud and ruined the audio. We then filmed the inside of the buildings reception area and cafe.
