The narrator has an effect on Daria because he had killed her father right in front of her while they were walking. Daria was so moved by the effect that she changed her whole style and personality. The next time that narrator saw Daria she had “frizzy” hair and it was all chopped and she had “gained weight”. With Daria’s dad being gone and the death of her brother as well this has made such an twist in her life.
