This cause more conflict and more problems, and makes conflict a norm. Kids then get used to the ideas that fighting and hurting others is okay.

I think if young girls see someone hurting each other they will act that way. Society almost expects bullying. I think people don't stand up to the victim for fear of harassment as well

I belive that girls social bully because they want to assert their dominance in the group. They want to achieve power over the entire group by excluding others to make them see more small in comparison to them. It's one of the reasons why bullies become so popular.
I agree because the way how girls bully is through socialization and is more verbal rather than social. They try to gain power over the group by making others look weak using words.
People dont stand up for bullying mainly because they do not want to get involved, and they feel like they will be bullied in the future for standing up for the victim. While people do it, it is not the right thing to do since you are allowing bullying to advance rather then taking action.

Girls usually engage with social bullying due to social pressure. This sometimes is the cause for some girls to feel and look more powerful and dominant when compared to their victim. Also, when girls are bullying other girls, there tends to be a group of girls which usually follow along or stand beside the bully. This might make the girls feel as if they won’t be targeted by the bully if they just obey and follow alongside the bully rather than stand up for the victim.

The reason that most people choose not to stand up for victims can be attributed to the threat of being bullied themselves, and partially by the bystander effect. When a person see’s the power struggle involved in bullying, they evaluate the threat level and the possibility of being bullied themselves, which decreases the chance of standing up for the victim. The bystander was effect can play a big factor in wether someone stands up for a victim, if there are more people in the crowd near the bullying, then people are less likely to stand up because they think that someone else in the crowd will do it.

This is the position she wanted, but I don’t think she understands that there is a different way to be a leader and have respect from others

Majority of girls do not feel comfortable standing up for someone else who is being bullied for fear of being bullied themselves. By standing up for the victim, a girl is essentially saying "I side with her" and builds a division between herself and her peers, making themselves a social outcast. Thus, girls tend to opt for a more passive approach to bullying by simply not getting involved and hoping they themselves don't get bullied.

It’s not a bossy feeling, it’s more like knowing that you’re depended on and looked up to, even if it’s in fear.
Girls don’t usually do much aside social bullying, which means the focus of the documentary was how to explain why kids are engaging in the activity, and the answer they arrived at was that girls are just kinda petty.

Not really a bad thing, but they’re willing to cut off relationships and close friends to fit in with the ‘cooler kids’, or because that’s what all their friends are saying to do. Girls only hurt each other because they know that’s all they can do.

The victims are bullied for a reason. Sucks to say it, but it’s true. Victims don’t fight back, don’t have friends, can’t speak up, and are easy to target.
No one stands up for them because the bully is always the stronger presence. If someone stands up for a victim, they’ll only receive the same treatment, and doing that is just jot worth it to some people (to most people).
