Tulipa splendens has a brown underground bulb. Its 30-40 cm stalk, with several leaves, stems from this bulb in spring. The tulip opens into large red flowers in May.
Its reproduction is a difficult one, because it takes place only by means of seeds, and the new plants fall into blossom as late as their seventh-eighth year.

It is supposed that in the past the splendid tulip was not so scanty, and its undeliberate extinction was caused by agricultural activities.
In Bulgaria there are six other species of wild tulips. Four of them are Bulgarian endemic species, and one of them - Balkan.

Snowdrops are one of the earliest spring flowers to bloom. They are native to Europe and Asia. In Croatia, they are protected by law.

It is usually found in areas with a temperate and cold climate. It appears in meadows, parks, gardens, lawns and along paths and hedges. In folk medicine it is used as a bitter agent, cholagogue, aperitif and to reduce blood fat. Dandelion is also edible, the young leaves are used as a salad, the flowers for the preparation of a honey-like syrup, and wine and beer. A coffee substitute can be prepared from the roasted root.

Primrose got its name because it blooms very early in spring and is considered a harbinger of spring, and its Latin name, primula, is a diminutive of primus, meaning first. It is a strictly protected species and is on the Red List of Endangered Plants in Croatia.

Western hemlock is a large evergreen conifer growing to 50–70 metres tall, exceptionally 83 m, and with a trunk diameter of up to 2.7 m. It is the largest species of hemlock, with the next largest (mountain hemlock) reaching a maximum height of 59 m.

This plants produce small flowers, often with a "face-like"pattern, typically in purple, white and yellow hues. Viola are versatile garden plants suitable for window boxes, borders and pots.

Persian speedwell is an annual herbaceous plant from the plantain family (Plantaginaceae). The stem is simple or branched from the base, lying flat on the ground. It is native to the mountainous region of southwest Asia, and is now widespread throughout the world. It spread to Europe when it escaped from botanical gardens, first observed in Germany in 1805. In Croatia, it was first recorded in 1847 in Split.

Typically blooms in mid-spring, with some varieties flowering earlier. This plants are highly resilient, easy to grow and prefer well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade.

Red dead nettle does not have a specific unpleasant odor and does not cause a burning sensation when touched. The stem of red dead nettle grows up to 30 cm tall, the lower leaves are round, and the upper ones are heart-shaped, with serrated edges and without a stalk. It blooms almost all year round, if conditions are favorable, most often from early February to late October. It is widely distributed in Europe and Asia, even in America.

This floweris characterized by white petals and a bright yellow center. This flowers are edible and have been historically udes in herbal medicine.They provide a significant source of nectar and pollen for insects.
