I studied high school in my home country. It was in my last year of high school, but when I came here I went back to school because my English was not good, but learning here and making new friends and new teachers from different races and languages is great and I wanted to try it a lot. Also, the English language is very special for me, as I said I live in New York City, and am learning English, which was what was difficult for me in the beginning to go out or buy something or at school. But now, I feel that I am getting better, but my problem is that I understand what they speak in English, but when it comes time to respond, this is the hardest thing. I think if I go to school or mingle a lot with people, I will learn English faster. This is one of my dreams to learn English quickly and also to go to BTS (a South Korean group of seven who dance and sing. I think their fame has become global and I love and encourage them since I was thirteen years old) concierge and learn the Korean language or look at my favorite artists (bts). But, all of these things are difficult in light of COVID-19, and I hope to achieve everything I have been hoping for here in New York City with the disappearance of this epidemic, and this is my experience of living here and it is beautiful. Also, the teachers are very nice also, they are really trying to help us and I am grateful for that.

They were not all present and at that moment I was thinking I would only be in New York for such a short period of time. Leaving the family was a difficult thing, and when I came to New York, I did not think I would see them for a long time, nor did I think I would adapt with the situation or this country. I did not know to what extent that I would miss everyone in my country, my family, my friends and my best friend because I miss my days playing and studying together. In addition, I also miss my neighborhood, home and relatives. With this in mind, I can’t seem to adjust to my life in New York.

Before I get into that I’d like to start by saying a bit of information of who I am. My first language is Bengali, and second in Hindi. When I first arrived in America communication and studying completely in English wasn't very easy for me. But my language skills have improved with time spent in this destined country through exposure and learning by doing. In addition, the language barrier and culture differences were very new to me as it affected the ability for me to communicate with others.

An adverance school education increases opportunities for immigrants, as they did mine. When I first started work I was really nervous. That was really a different experience as I never worked in my country.

Later on, I tried to set my goals for the future and try to have a better future and a job. I slowly adjust and understand the language better than before.

So, relocating to a different country can prove to be a great precursor to happiness and success. Likewise, we could learn a new language, boost our confidence levels. Moving abroad will indeed prove to be a challenge and a development opportunity.

I was 16 years old when I left my country. I used to live in Bhaka, Bangladesh. We are a really big family. All of my 6 uncles and their family and we used to live together in one building. We were 32 people living together in a building. I grew up in a really fun environment. I left my country in 2018, I felt very sad when it was my last day in my country's house. I knew it would be my last day sleeping peacefully on my bed. A weird kind of mixed feelings worked within me during those times. I was happy because I was about to start a new better life in NYC, but I was also afraid because we never know what will be in our future and in a whole new county where I didn't even know the language properly. “How am I gonna adjust? How will the days pass? Also it gave me a really strong heart ache when I was thinking that would be the last time I would see my uncles, aunties and cousins for five or six years. Coming to this country was a whole new experience in my life. Also, this was really a turning point for my life. In the beginning when I came to this country I was very nervous. I didn't know how to speak in English properly. I didn't know what rules I needed to follow here. In my country was a country where there used to be six seasons and the winter wasn't so harsh, but here in New York I didn’t think I was going to make it through this hard winter. In the end, even though leaving Bangladesh was one of the most difficult things I have ever done in my life, I will always keep

I’m not from America, but now I go to an American school. I go to school to learn many things like English. I like English. Although, it is difficult for me to speak and understand. I was only 18 years old. I was only 18 when I decided that I needed to leave home for the first time to become independent. I was just out of high school, and I wanted to explore the world. I was young and I knew I wanted to go to college. I was invited to live in Montana, far away from where I grew up in San Diego, California. I remember that day that I said goodbye to my mom. I felt so sad. I really wanted to start my life, but on the other hand, I really didn’t want to leave my mom. We both cried and cried, and finally she said, “You have to go. I will miss you forever, and I love you forever.” Even though it was very, very difficult, I needed to leave my mom and my home. I wanted to be independent and show my mom and family that I was smart and brave enough to make it on my own. I wanted them to be proud of me. So, I left. I found myself in Montana and applied at a university to study education. As I studied I found my independence and my new life. Even though leaving home was one of the hardest things I have ever done because I loved my mom so much, it was the best decision I ever made to be the professional I am today - a teacher at Liberty High School.

Next, on their way to the sea, they were happy in the car journey with loud songs and ice cream, and they arrived at their destination leaving the bags in the hotel room and heading to the sea. Then, while the mother was watching her daughter swimming, she received a call and did not hear the disturbance and had to go to a quiet place to be able to answer the call. But the waves began to rise until the daughter almost drowned. Finally, some people who were swimming also saw her and rushed to save the daughter before she drowned. When the mother came back, she saw her daughter and many people around her. She was afraid that something had happened to her, but they reassured her that she was well and after that, she did not leave her daughter alone and they continued their journey happily.
