I am loving Knowledge. The kids are so engaged and I am loving the topics and stories I am getting to read with them. I am astounded by the vocabulary usage and development I am seeing in th kids after finishing just one Knowledge unit.

I've had success using the read aloud feature for kids to listen to stories from skills or knowledge again during times when we need to calm down after recess. They really do enjoy the stories and have had a few favorites that they want to listen to repeated.

How special ed teachers from other districts support both knowledge & skills in both the co-taught and resource settings.

What is the organizational flow of spelling? Right now it seems as though we introduce a spelling list on a Monday, then introduce a completely different phonics skill on Wednesday and then tests over the spelling list on Friday.

1st grade is finishing up our first knowledge unit on the Human Body. We are enjoying teaching the knowledge portion and the kids are enjoying it as well. I like the vocabulary portion and the discussions we have as a class about the human body topic.

1st grade is eager to start the next knowledge portion because we are enjoying this portion of the curriculum. There are great class discussions. We are hoping the next knowledge unit is just as exciting.

We are looking for more support with the students who are receiving special ed services and how to scaffold that into the regular ed classroom too. The regular CKLA curriculum is very hard for these specific kids when they are in the gen ed room.

On the 2nd grade knowledge 1 end of domain vocabulary assessment, students are asked about the word "purse". This word was not taught as a vocabulary word at all or even talked about in the lessons for the domain. It knocked our kids down in score on the assessment because there was no instruction on the word. Is this a mistake in the curriculum?

We are finishing up the 5 senses Knowledge Domain. We are finishing the assessment up. We are starting Domain 3 this week. Next week we will be finishing up skills 6. We are on Lesson 12/13. We did not do skills 5 and started on skills 6.

Knowledge-

We are loving the vocabulary, background knowledge, and videos.

Skills-

We like the chaining activities with letter cards and also writing the words for chaining. Some of the worksheet activities are nice.
