I also came across a really informative website, that has so much detailed information all about bullying, prevention, laws and policies.  

I believe if we continually help raise awareness and educate children (early) regarding this harmful subject, together we can start to eliminate violence, oppression and suicide.

Here's a link showing Instagram as the top site for online bullying, for teenagers. Social media is obnoxious, it does more harm than good and I wish all of these sites would shut down permanently. This article is interesting and I believe the findings to be true. I don't think so much social media would be as bad as it is, if parents actually did their job as parents. I know bullying has been around for many many years, but social media has heightened it. Bullying it's a huge problem and I feel like it's a problem that could improve, if parents sat down and talked to the children, and also showed them by example that bullying is never okay. I love YouTube. I know that media can be used for gnarly things, but this is a way that it was used to "teach" about Cyberbullying. I know that movies can seem like they over exaggerate these things, but kids take their own lives due to bullying and now it have progressed from in school to cyber. Not only that, but it's starting to effect younger generations. This movie is based around high-school aged kids, but after watching the news for the past two weeks about the 12 year old girl that recently took her life due to bullying in class and online. I feel this is relevant.

I think that bullying harms adolescents in such a way that they take on the identity or label that is given them.  Self fulfilling prophecy is strong and takes years to internalize.
