Throughout Spin Off My group and I used the 4C's. For creativity we came up with an idea as a group to help shift graffiti from the streets into a warehouse. Collaboration and Communication we supported each other and communicated our ideas with each other and gave constructive feedback about certain ideas. My understanding of problem solving and design thinking has developed massively by having me use these skills critically in different situations. My 4 C’s skills have all developed greatly and strongly. My collaboration skills have developed by having to work well with my group and effectively create an idea for Innov8 Expo. My communication skills have developed as well by having to talk and communicate with my group, and discuss ideas and consult with each other. My creativity skills have developed hugely as well by having to design and create with my partners, what the box will look like, what will be in the box, the logo and the name. My critical thinking skills developed when being asked questions about our company and when presenting our pitch. The knowledge that I have obtained throughout this course will help me in later years say if I want to start a business or even design just a product or a website or even a poster, all these skills that I have learned will help me. More importantly, the public speaking aspect of this course has really helped me to get better at it. Throughout this course some challenges my group and I faced was the public speaking aspect, but then after we spoke to the class and other people, we overcame this and it wasn’t as bad as thought. Since then I have felt that I am a very confident public speaker. Some skills I can take from this experience and put into other experiences is my ability to work with feedback and apply it to other things such as maybe feedback from an English teacher on my essay. I can also use the public speaking aspect and apply to subjects where I have to present my work.
