         <description><![CDATA[<div>These are some materials that I found that have been affected, a can and stairs. Chemical weathering changes the molecular structure of rocks and soil. For instance, carbon dioxide from the air or soil sometimes combines with water in a process called carbonation. This produces a weak acid, called carbonic acid, that can dissolve metal.  That is the case of these two objects.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I am attaching a picture of an example of mechanical weathering.  We can observe a physical change in the floor.  Weathering is the breaking down rocks and minerals on surface. Once a rock has been broken down, a process called erosion transports the bits of rock and minerals away. Water, acids, salt, plants, animals, and changes in temperature are all agents of weathering and erosion.  As we know this is a progressive process that gets worst during time.</div>]]></description>
