         <description><![CDATA[<div>This was another great project idea from our reading this week. I loved how the magazine was accessible in a digital format, and it looked really nice!<br>I also noticed how this project tied in to critical thinking about what's being sold to teens in the media, and how a speaker was brought in to give more context to the journalistic work of the class.</div>]]></description>

         <title>Early Elementary Project: Film Making</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Thinking about making digital literacy interest-driven for early elementary students, I think film making would be a great vehicle for students to make choices in their learning. <br>To tie in reading and writing, we could engage in story boarding and writing reviews. If the task is open-ended enough, creating a story and then making the film for it would be exciting and interest-driven.<br>It might be possible to plan for a screening event, and have students write up the important information themselves (date, time, location, price, suggestions, e.g. bring a snack...) That way their work would be meaningful and they would have a real audience!</div>]]></description>
