1. Why do you think children learn a second language better than adults?

Children learn a second language better because their brains are more flexible and open to new sounds and structures. They are less afraid of making mistakes, which helps them practice more. Also, they often learn naturally through play, songs, and interaction, while adults may focus too much on rules and grammar.

2. How does the person's environment affect the learning of a second language?

The environment is very important. If a person is surrounded by people who speak the second language, they have more opportunities to practice and learn quickly. A positive, supportive environment also makes learners feel motivated and confident. On the other hand, if the environment doesn’t provide practice or support, learning can be slower.

3. What is the difference between acquisition and learning?

Acquisition happens naturally, like when children pick up a language by listening and speaking without studying grammar.

Learning is more formal, when people study rules, vocabulary, and grammar in class.

Both are important, but acquisition feels more natural, while learning is more academic.

4. Do you think children learn a language first in a phonological or grammatical way?

Children usually learn in a phonological way first, because they imitate sounds and pronunciation before understanding grammar. For example, they say words or short phrases without knowing grammar rules. Later, they start to organize sentences correctly.

5. Explain your experience learning a second language. How was it?

My experience learning English was challenging at the beginning because I was shy to speak. However, listening to music, watching movies, and practicing with classmates helped me improve. Over time, I felt more confident, and now I enjoy using English to communicate.

6. Interview (example response you can adapt):

I interviewed a university student. I asked if they had tried to learn a second language. The student told me that they tried to learn French. At first, it was difficult because of pronunciation, but with practice and classes, they learned some conversational skills. They said they did not become fluent, but they succeeded in understanding and using the basics.

1. It's because they imitate sounds more easily, are less afraid of making mistakes, and usually learn naturally through play.

2. It can affect they language learning if they do not have opportunities to hear or use the language, and progress is much slower.

3. Acquisition is something that happens naturally, and learning is more formal.

4. Children definitely learn their first language in a phonological way because they listen and imitate sounds for fun, and because of that, they don't find any difficulty by learning a language

5. I was a phonological child because I learned English by listening to audio of native speakers since I was 7 years old, and over time, i began to gain confidence on the language
