Even though he moved to the US while I just two years old; he showed how to be a great father without even being there. He worked two jobs to make sure we had food in our mouths, visited us as much he can and kept in contact with us every day. He encourages me every day to always follow my dream and do what makes happy and do it well. He is the true definition of what it means to work hard. He went to school, worked two jobs, paid all types of bills but yet still send money for me, my brother and my mother to survive and extended families.

I have completed several courses (17 credits’ worth) at NC State University. I am taking classes towards to become and Service and Medical Manager. Being part of this program, I had to learn to mature and focus on my studies.

I was born in West Africa, Togo. I moved down the US when I was 10-year-old. When I come to the US, I didn’t speak any English, for 2 years, I only took ESL classes and watched a bunch of children videos. As the year past, my English improved and so did my writing and speaking and all the other courses.
