She is from Chicago, Illinois. She is a kind, outgoing, and relatable person. These characteristics play a major part because based on where she is from and how she interacts with people on a day to day basis she will continue to act without acknowledging herself on what is actually right or wrong with in different cultures. Her genuine persona doesn't change with whom she interacts with.

The nonverbal communication that was used was a touch on the back. This form of communication is considered a major faux pas in the receiver's country, no one is supposed to touch the Queen. In the sender's country this is a way to show deep concern for someone and that you feel connected to that person.

In this picture Queen Elizabeth II sends Michelle Obama the same message in return. She placed her hand on Michelle’s lower back. Even though Michelle should not have touched the Queen in the first place, the Queen did not mind and touched Michelle back. England was not too happy that the rules were broken and the press was mad about tradition being shaken.

Michelle Obama and the Queen were bonding and they enjoy each others company. What led to their physical contact was a common issue many women face due to wearing heels, their feet were hurting. The Queen loves Michelle and knows she did not mean any harm when she touched her. The queen has even invited her to sit beside her even though protocol says the president is supposed to sit there.

Elizabeth II is the Queen of the United Kingdom, and was born in London as the first child of duke and duchess York, and she was educated at home.
The Queen is a very outgoing person who enjoys lavish parties and knows how to put people at ease.
When meeting the Queen their are certain protocols to follow such as formally addressing her as ‘Your majesty’, and there is absolutely no touching. This is a factor because the Queen is royal and when she was touched First Lady Michelle she expressed that she felt the protocol was “rubbish” and it was fine.
