Teacher Example: What is the theme of the poem Dreams?

The theme of the poem is dreams are a valuable or important part of life. For example the author Langston Hughes says "if dreams die, life is like a broken winged bird that cannot fly." He also says without dreams life becomes barren, or it is difficult to grow. This shows that dreams are very important to living a full life.

The theme of the story cost to cost is that it is hard to move away form you old home to a new one. So Reggie do not like to move and she want to go back but their are some good things that are good. For the family to move they don't have to move snow any more and it is hot some times in new york. And she did not like to make new friends soon she realized that she think that she will be ok where she lived in there new.

What is the theme of the passage? The theme is it is hard to move but then you realize it is not so bad after a while. For example it shows that Reggie is not happy moving but then he meets a girl name Diane who is also from New York. She tells him it is not bad here and they only thing is the pizza and takes Reggie to her parents job. And then Reggie sister tells her parents he will be all right. This tells me that the author wanted us to know it can be hard to move to a new place but when you are there for a while it is not that bad.

Good job Jaquan restating the question, answering it, citing evidence, and explaining.

The theme of Sensational Senses is Cheating is never okay but sometimes cheating helps you so you know what not to do next time because According to paragraph 8 They had a test coming up, and maybe she would let him take it at a different time. When he arrived at her classroom, Ms. Martinez was gone and the door was locked. Peering through the window in the door, he could see the lights were off. Even through the darkness, his heightened senses allowed him to see inside the classroom. There, on Ms. Martinez’s desk, was that week’s test and Derek was able to read every problem on it all the way from the door. Without giving it a second thought, he tore out a sheet of paper from his notebook. and started writing down each question. But it is okay to have a problem and explain and ask someone for help so you can do better next time you take a test.Because Derek cheated this is what happen according to the passage It was a difficult decision to make, but he tore the sheet of paper and threw it in the trash. He arrived at the conclusion that it was better to go home and study for the test as best as he could. On the day of the test, Derek struggled to concentrate, and when the time came he gave it his best shot.

Great job Olivia restating the question adding evidence and explaining.

Now I wonder if there is one more example from the text you can add.

The theme of November is all things in nature change with the passing of time that's why we have seasons but the in the story November the season it is talking about is autumn the way you can tell is how they talk about the setting as you can see in sentence 18 "A wood duck surfaces
emerging into the light.
It looks lacquered
in the cold November sun." as you seen the it talks about November is when fall\autumn happens and they even tell you "It’s post-October.
November’s at large.
Yellow leaves
hang loose and limp." So what we can see from that is the leaves changed color and they are going to start falling off the tree. This shows me how it looks outside and that's the only season I can think of that looks like that, You can think about it and get the picture of it. It also talk about the

“Chipmunk running
across the beach.
Scurrying quietly and
holding its tail high!

and that tell you it's fall\autumn because chipmunks

only come out when it's active in the daytime during spring, summer and fall. This all just shows how nature changes.

Good job Damien restating the question, answering it, and adding evidence.

Now:
1. Add a closing sentence for the E in RACE like "this shows...., this means...."
2. Check for capitalization and punctuation.

I believe the theme of the passage I read was time and changes.
In first person view, i was the main character writing in a diary about the season of autumn. The character was talk about how it was " post-October, November at large" at the time it's fall in the passage. As he looking at animals getting ready to hibernate as the character says "Chipmunk running across the beach. Scurrying quietly and holding its tail high". Now the character was contrasting summer and autumn tell himself about the birds that come during summer, and the pretty things that come with summer. Then the character was then talking about how cold it is saying " in the cold November sun" and glaceing at trees and leaves, how there changing color and how there spinning on the tree breach. Then he started thinking about summer how trees were full of leaves and leaves were green.
So the passage is about the main character comparing season of the cold and how time shows when autumn comes around and how long it feels.
