Yes the Japanese occupation brought changes to their live,.Before the war, the daily life of teenagers were just going to school and not having to work. During the war, teenagers had to go to school and after their school, some of them have to find things that they could make money of, because of how hard it was to get any money out of things. Many families suffer because of that and thus even the teenagers have to work in order to make more money to purchase daily products that are overpriced.
Before the war, teenagers attended English based schools for their education. When the Japanese arrived and took over Singapore, they stopped English schools from being used and had Japanese teachers teach the Japanese language as they did not like the residence to speak English. Thus they made newspapers Japanese, have posters about the victory of the Japanese, have movies and radio stations about the Japanese.
During the war, male teenagers had to go through inspections by the Japanese to check whether they were part of the anti-Japanese squad. If they were lucky, they were left alive with just a red rubber mark on their hand. They had to make sure the mark stays in order to not get inspected again.

Yes it has surely made a great impact to the teenagers in Singapore. In the past during the war, Singapore students were forced to learn Japanese without any choice. As the Japanese does not want the locals to speak in other languages than Japanese. The Japanese want the locals to be like them and let them know that Japanese is the core language in Singapore in the past. Students will have to marched back to class everyday but before they marched back they o assemble in school hall for some lectures and singing of the Japanese songs. Students will also have to bowed towards the North-East to show Japanese spirit. After the war, Singapore does not need to learn Japanese anymore but there is still an impact. Students who beared through the war, they will mostly just be too old to study again. They will probably be jobless and homeless as after the Japanese occupation. As most of them would probably forgot all the other languages like Chinese and Malay. Causing them not be able to communiciate with others in local. Many teenagers would encouraged to study Japanese by their parents. As during the Japanese occupation, for those who have no idea how to speak Japanese would often get lesser job opportunities therefore, parents would tell their children that learning Japanese will be very beneficial. Teenagers that went to study during the Japanese occupation were have to suffer a lot. As the subjects that were taught in their own language before the Japanese occupation. But during the Japanese occupation, all of the subjects were all taught in Japanese. As Japanese was one of the main subjects during the Japanese occupation. The Japanese colony also wants them to know that there is no longer their own language, but there is only Japanese which became their main subjects. Therefore, many students were have to suffer throughout the Japanese occupation and try their best to adapt to it.

Yes, the Japanese Occupation has changed the lives of the teenagers in Singapore. Before the Japanese Occupation, many teenagers lived life in good qualities and without lack of food. During Japanese Occupation, things like food and housing shortage became a problem which impacted Singapore negatively. Teenagers need nutrients and lots of food as they were going through puberty, but sadly, the amount of food they had was not enough. Even though the food they were given were smelly and difficult to eat, they needed to eat it for survival. Teenagers could not afford o buy rice or fresh fishes, so they had to go on a diet of broken rice made into porridge with sweet potato or tapioca to make it more filing.
