Reliability refers to consistency among results of assessments. Validity is whether a test's measurements align with the intended measurements. Ex: IQ test and the individual's actual knowledge.

1. Test-retest - Examining clients at least twice over a period of time to check consistency. Ex: Testing for disorders over a few days or longer.
2. Interrater - Likeness of responses by separate individuals. Ex: Similarity of diagnosis of a clientl among multiple certified doctors/medical professionals.

1. Content - Amount that content of a test matches the test's purpose. Ex: An IQ test would be valid if the assessment questions entailed abilities of the mind.
2. Predictive - Ability of test to make accurate predictions. Ex: If an IQ was high one could predict that person would be passing classes in school; if this were true, there would be a high predictive validity with school performance.
3. Construct - Point to which a test measures intended constructs. Ex: Testing for accuracy among large groups for bipolar, anxiety, or depression.
