         <description><![CDATA[<p>I think based on the videos I watched regarding communication skills in practice:</p><p><br/></p><p>- Students were assigned in group to research about a mathematic topic. They were in groups of four, they can learning from one another through communicating their findings.</p><p><br/></p><p>-Students were asked to present their findings in a short presentation where they had to demonstrate their problem, work, and solution to rest of the class. I think it works well in terms of developing communication skills because it allows to students to demonstrate their learning.</p><p><br/></p><p>- A short Q&amp;A session after each presentation, it allows the teacher to demonstrate communication skill such as active listening with providing relevant and constructive feedbacks to students. Students can model their behaviour from the teacher through this session.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Based on the videos I watched regarding communication skills, the following three-way ideas that would work well in my math class.</p><p><br/></p><p>-Round table discussion will make students analyzing different perspectives and synthesize information to form their own responses. It fosters deep thinking and encourages students to question assumptions, evaluate evidence, and construct logical arguments.</p><p><br/></p><p>-Be facilitator for your students in collaboration math dialogue. We should allow students to take the lead, creating a student-centered learning environment. We encourage peer feedback by having students review each other’s work and provide constructive suggestions for improvement.</p><p><br/></p><p>-Real-world application can build social skills and global awareness by connecting math classroom learning to real-world issues and events. Connect math to other disciplines, such as science, economics, and art, to show its relevance and applicability.</p>]]></description>

Managing time  in class</a></p><p>In a math classroom, a learner can be asked these simple questions. How do you use your time?. By answering the question, the essence of self-management comes in. Students can also use communication skills to share ideas on how they manage to complete all their math homework and assignments. in real life, self-management is vital on how one manages resources time, and other responsibilities given</p><p><br></p><ol start="2"><li><p>organizational skills</p><p>which can work in math class by making sure that learners keep math notes, formulas, and worked-out examples well structured and accessible.</p></li><li><p>prioritization of task </p><p>Students can rank task-based urgency, for example. There are chapters in math that should be given priority. This will help students tackle more challenging math concepts first before moving to easier ones.<br></p></li></ol>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Having watched some of the videos provided, here are 3 ways in which several social skills can be integrated into a mathematics classroom:</p><ol><li><p><strong>Visible communication:</strong> Students are encouraged to write down their thoughts on paper and organize them with their peers while working in a group. This helps students deliver their thoughts in a clear structure and will encourage the team to combine their thoughts on paper and organize them in a way that could build up on one another.</p></li><li><p><strong>Project Discussion</strong>: Students would be split up into groups where they would work on an assigned topic/problem and start discussing different points of view/approach to the problem in hand. This would promote more focus on non-verbal communication skills as the project is being put together.</p></li><li><p><strong>Debating</strong>: Students are encouraged to debate and present their findings/points of view on a particular problem/topic to the classroom to, first of all, promote self-confidence and presentation skills and also be able to accept constructively certain points of view the learner might have missed/not paid attention to while attempting to solve the issue. This would allow the students to accept that no work is flawless, and it's okay that we can change our work/opinion based on conclusions learned from other peers without critiquing the work itself.</p></li></ol>]]></description>
