I get to monitor unwanted behaviors and make students focus. After the reading of the story, my students are given a mix option of their individual way of expressing their take away about the story like some will record themselves, draw and tell, etc. Students are also given an varied assessment type (that are somewhat the same as MAPs test style) to answer comprehension questions about the story and make them comfortable in answering state/ district wide type of assessment in the future.
