However, there are times in our lives we don't feel like there's anything we can be thankful for at all. Regardless of our circumstances, we always have something to be thankful for. Romans 6:23 says "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.". We deserve to die for our sins but God, in His beautiful mercy, sent His Son Jesus Christ down from heaven to die on the cross in payment for our sins. No matter what we are going through - be it cancer, or money problems, family issues, or struggles with stress - we can be thankful that God has granted us an eternal life that we don't deserve.
