Technologies have been developed that allow us to harness methane from manure and produce enough energy to power city blocks. You can also harvest and dry manure to be sold as fertilizer to the public.
Other sources of methane are from Natural gas and petroleum systems are the second largest source of CH₄ emissions in the United States. Coal mining also plays a role in the emission of methane. This amount can be shrunk by upgrading equipment producing the amount of leaks methane can be used the make energy that are captured from coal mins.
When waste from homes and businesses decompose, landfills become a large source of methane production. There are already practices in place to control methane emissions.

Power Plants and other factories are a big problem when it comes to reducing the amount of Carbon Dioxide in the air. A lot of power plants burn fossil fuels, and when these are burned Carbon Dioxide is released into the air. Fossil fuels are how these factories get power, but by switching to solar power we can eliminate the burning of them. This would unfortunately not take the carbon dioxide out of the air but it wont produce any. Since most of the factories burn fuel and cause combustion this will solve that. Yes it is really expensive, but people are working on making it less expensive so more large factories can use them.
