If you haven't already, I highly recommend you commence using medication templates and continue to develop these throughout the course to support enhancing your understanding of pharmacology and medication.

Here are the details for our medication workshop on Tuesday 28th April 1000-1200

You have been placed into 8 groups in this module. Each group has been allocated a medication or medication group on the Padlet to explore.

The aim of the session is to build on your medication knowledge from Year 1 (remember the Padlet you did in Module 3) and to commence developing your own formulary of medications. This is to look at medications frequently used in Midwifery practice, remember these may vary between trusts and your experience in practice.

On 28th April, each group will present to the cohort the medication they have researched. Presentations should last 10 -15 minutes per group.

This can be presented however you like – Word document, PowerPoint presentation, images, a quiz such a Kahoots or Mentimeter or poster presentation as examples. We don't mind and it is up to you in your groups to decide and be creative!

Please include detail regarding research papers, national guidance and evidence base for practice. Your work should be added to your group column on the Padlet.

If you wish to explore a medication in your group that is not listed but is module specific (eg Diabetes, Asthma, Epilepsy) please discuss first with me.
