So I started looking for my target audience, at first I had male corporate employees between 30 and 35 as my target audience, but I found that this was not a good choice. Because many men of that age smoke e-cigarettes to quit traditional cigarettes. They understand that smoking is bad for their health and want to gradually give up cigarettes with e-cigarettes, and the same goes for women. So I tried to find a group of people who needed to know more about the dangers of e-cigarettes, and teenagers naturally became the best target audience. So I chose high school preteens between the ages of 13 and 17. The location was a school and with most students not having a steady income, a cheap e-cigarette was far more affordable than buying cigarettes in the long run. This is why I chose to introduce e-cigarettes. The price leads to e-cigarettes being more popular among students and many of them smoke them to highlight their self-image. In terms of gender, I believe that males and females approach e-cigarettes at the teenage stage for similar purposes, to accentuate their self-image or to be curious. So I chose both genders of Dad as my target audience. Throughout the video, a voice-over will offer facts and information about the dangers of e-cigarettes, as well as encouragement for young people to make healthy choices for themselves. The tone will be serious and informative, but also compassionate and non-judgmental.
