An example I can think of for active learning is when I learned to throw a frisbee. A friend was showing me, and even though I made several mistakes, after a while, I got really good at it, and now I love the game.

Building on the example from Activity about the dissection I did, once it was through I was able to go and start learning more about organs and such. I could add this hands-on information to what I already knew about the body, and I was able to correlate this with the facts I knew about organs and their functions.
2. I was homeschooled for quite a while, and during that time, we would do a lot of activities in learning, and then would have to do a paper or a project on what we learned. Group chats are used quite a bit between classmates to work together on the assigned work. There are a few now that I am a part of where I set them up and invited others to join, so that whatever was missed in the classroom can be clarified and hashed out so the concept is understood. It helps everyone be on board with what is happening in the class, and to make sure nobody is left confused on a topic.
2. A fun example for this is when you are learning a new game with a group. maybe one person knows the rules and how it works, but everyone else is learning together how to play. This characteristic is SO important. I really struggled with physics and chemistry in high school, partially because the teacher did not know very well what they were doing, and also because I had no idea how to use the equations I was learning. Even though I knew factually how to complete the equation, if a word problem was presented, I was completely lost.
2. A way this has been applied well in my life is learning all the different types of measurements and how to convert them. I took a class last semester that asked us to take all the information we had learned and create an informational website. This integrated a fun way to use technology in the class, and also make sure we had learned the curriculum. So the goal was for the class to (hopefully) enjoy the assignment, and also have the class really pore over what they learned in order to decide what to put on the website.
2. A class I am in now assigned each student a topic that we will present to the class. we are able to use most forms of presentation, but the goal we are supposed to be focusing on is making it interesting and easy to learn for our classmates. we also have the choice to make it interactive and more fun of a presentation.
