Slidesgo is a great resource you can use to ask questions during your slideshows to help keep your audience engaged. It's super easy to use and has many options, such as creating mind maps or even using polls. It gives educators a way to augment their slideshows in a way that allows them to check students understanding and document their questions in an anonymous way to help reduce students' question-asking anxieties.

Within my own classroom, I plan to use this resource to do just that. I want to ensure my students feel safe in the classroom environment to ask questions. I think this tool will be particularly useful when teaching touchier topics, such as sex-ed. Not every student will feel comfortable asking their questions in this situation, but it is essential that their questions get answered. So, using a tool such as SlidesGo gives educators a method to receive direct feedback/questions during lessons.

Google Classroom

Google Classroom is a fantastic tool that can be used to organize everything your students need for success. It gives them access to their rubrics, assignments, quizzes, and class announcements all in one place. As an educator, it gives you a space where you can easily organize your students' grades and track who has completed what assignments. It is an easy-to-use and free resource, all you need is a Google account and then you can share your class code with all your students.

Within my future practice, I plan to consistently use this tool over resources such as D2L, as I find Google Classroom to have an easier layout for younger students to use. Google Classroom also allows teachers to invite parents to see what has been posted. I plan to teach kindergarten-level students, meaning communication with parents will be essential. Using this tool, I will be able to share newsletters and information quickly to all parents in one spot to ensure important information doesn't get lost in Spam mail boxes or accidentally deleted. I believe having it all in one spot will be beneficial to both me as an educator and parents.

Nearpod is a great tool when leading lessons, it allows you to create more interactive lessons to help engage more students. It's a great way to see which students are actively paying attention and where they may be struggling to understand in real-time. This tool is great for review classes or if you plan to introduce hard topics. With the variety of games/activities available with this resource, it can easily be adapted to different grade levels and subjects.

This is another resource that I plan on using within my future classroom if technology for all students is available. I believe this resource would be great for activity-based learning, which would be essential when working with younger students. Using this resource I could get direct feedback on the student's progress with the activities. The variety of activities will also allow me to challenge younger learners in multiple ways, which will help them stay engaged.

I have found Canva to be an extremely helpful tool on my academic journey so far. It has allowed me to create colorful and custom worksheets and newsletters. It is an easy-to-use software, that even with the free version still is filled with variety and enough features to allow for it to be used easily and efficiently. I believe this resource will be helpful to teachers to create engaging work, but also to students when working on creative digital projects

As I said, I have already used this resource in my past work with students to create worksheets and newsletters. Especially now, when a lot of education happens online, and as an educator we are posting resources constantly. Canva gives the opportunity to create clear and organized work, that is engaging by using bright colors and stickers. Overall, I will continue to be using this resource to create fun and creative activities.
