Community is one of the most important stakeholders in our institution; by providing access and bridging direct relationship to the community needs and students, we help pupils to achieve greater potential, such as in leadership and civic awareness.

As a teacher, one of the most important stakeholders to engage more effectively is the parents or guardians of your students.

We can make a stronger partnership with them by having "Kamustahan Session" at least every quarter. Where in we ask questions about their children's attitude at home, how they develop and what are the things they can suggest for us as teachers for the better.

We need to make the community engage more. To build stronger partnerships, we can:

- Invite local leaders, elders, or professionals to give talks, run workshops, or mentor students.

- Involve community groups in extracurricular activities (sports, arts, environment projects).

The government plays a vital role in raising children because it provides key resources like schools, classrooms, teacher salaries, and safe roads to access education, etc. It also sets policies on curriculum, child protection, healthcare, and so on.

Being a high school teacher from a rural school with many students coming from low income households, teachers, students, parents and members of the LGU should be equally engage in promoting projects and programs to help the students. We can foster stronger partnerships with them by conducting regular meetings with them, inviting them to our school programs, joining community activities and making them take part in crafting PPAs for the improvement of the school and the students. - Vanessa

As for my experience, parents are the most important portion of a school, since they are the ones who can help us hone our students. A balance interaction with some community members is also important for they are the ones who can see and help us in the student's behavior.

As educators, we must engage more with our students, as they are the ones who need the most support in education.

Other stakeholders such as teachers, parents, and the community, serve as the students’ support system, helping them to guide and nurture development.

Additionally, since student is the center of the curriculum, it is crucial for us to understand their needs, abilities, and their learning styles.

As an educator, I believe that we must build a good relationship with the parents of the child. Parents are considered as the "first" parents of our students. Hence, we can work together to shape the child holistically as they also know them very well. Moreover, if there is a good parent-teacher relationship, it will be easier to address concerns or suggest some strategies to motivate the students more.

The best way to strengthen our relationship with them is to communicate with them clearly, especially during the PTC meeting, so we can know the status of their child as a student.

In our school, I see the lack of the involvement of our community. I think it is equally important to build linkages with them and to nourish our students, for the them to see that their learning does not end only in school but it should manifest in the community. It will be possible if we immerse our students more in the community, create more programs that involve their participation not just to participate but maybe also organize programs with them.

Based on the institution where I am right now, I think we should draw more to the parents since they are the first teachers of our learners. Though we may set an appointment for Teacher-Parent conferences, I think quarterly reports from both stakeholders can lead to a healthy, strategic, and proactive way to address some internal and external matters.

As educators, it our first priority to engage with our students. Everything in education is ultimately designed for their growth, learning, and well-being. Other stakeholders are secondary people to engage with that will help us to nurture our students.

To improve education, we must actively engage everyone involved in teaching and learning. The students, teachers, parents, administrators, and community leaders both inside and outside the school. Listening to students and partnering with community leaders outside the classroom strengthens trust and broadens support.
