It has caused people to stay home and stay 6 feet apart at all times. Corona has taken away many things from me, my family, and I am sure everyone else. The streets and highways are almost empty and it feels unreal to me. I miss my friends and my family very much, and having to stay at least 6 feet apart from them is extremely hard. The virus can also be very hard to handle since everything that comes into my house, like food and other necessities, have to be cleaned off. I have gotten to spend more time with my family than I have ever before. In my neighborhood, I have noticed that many people are outside. Most people go on walks with their family. Occasionally, I see people driving around, but mot many people are out. My clubhouse is closed and my neighborhood gym is closed too. I feel like everyday is the same day and I am just repeating it over and over again since I basically have the same routine. Today, all of the New Jersey schools shut down for the rest of the year. I think that we will be stuck in quarantine for longer than we expected. I think that it will take a while for us to return to our normal life.

I feel lost some days. It seems so incredible that this has happened. Everyday I get up and am glad we feel ok. We’re all trying our best with this new normal.  My saving grace is that I keep busy. I walk 3 miles everyday.  I’ve been doing a lot of cooking ,cleaning, emptying closets, reading , and doing puzzles. I’m even going back to crocheting.  Our friends meet 2xs a week. We social distance and have a good time. We meet on each others driveways so we can sit apart.
