Copper chisels and granite hammers were the tools to cut the limestone blocks. They had groups of men to keep the chisels sharp. Copper was the hardest metal known to the Egyptians, but a 100 blows or so and the copper chisel would be blunt. A man would take the blunt chisel and soften it in the fire, reshape the tip, then temperate in water before going back into use. Then there was a group that just brought water and fire wood to the chisel sharpeners. They were very organized in the production of the pyramid.

They believed that this spot was eternal & more specifically the location of heaven & they called the stars surrounding it the indestructible's. Using a plumb bob they used to align with the stars, they determined the layout for the construction of the pyramids. They believed aligning it to heaven created a resurrection machine.

The slaves that they had were basically malnourished compared to the workers. The Egyptians fed the workers with bread and fruits to maintain a healthy work force. If you worked you received everything you wanted, even the fire wood in the evening is what the video said. Which that made me think about the privileges that we have today.

By the very definition of the word, to be a slave means to
be a person who is the legal property of another and is forced to obey them. In
ancient Egypt, men given power by the king would go through the country
selecting able bodied men to work on the pyramids. While the men chosen were
not owned, they were given no choice as to whether or not they wanted to commit
their lives to the king’s tomb. When the men arrived, they were sheltered, given food, and time to bathe. As long as the men worked, they were treated well. A better term for these men would have been indentured servants seeing as
how the men who worked on the pyramids were given a type of passage for their
work.

If you were a worker you were taken care of quite well actually. If they were slaves and barely rationed food they would be physically unfit to do such labor, they would be too malnourished to perform the duties given to them. There were also people that were given the job to keep the tools in proper condition. This consisted of a sort of hammer and copper chisels to shape the stone. Its crazy amazing to think what these people did, what they built and the impact it put on history.

They were free to build and gotten plenty of their needs met when it came to food and water including breaks. By that they needed plenty of strong men to build what they wanted and to do that they needed to make sure their health stayed up to shape. So I will say they were workers and not slave labors.
