   Today is the day I start my voyage to America. Today will be a new start for me! In the great United States, I will not have to fear about hiding my religion. They say the voyage will take months, and I am not looking forward to it, after all, I do have motion sickness. I hope for a safe voyage and that it doesn't take too long. This will be the last day I will see Germany, for now, and will be the first I live in America!

We are on an island! Finally, after arriving from the horrid boat, I finally made it to land. I never want to go on that boat again, but who knows what would have been my fate. I had to escape my home. After everything I have gone through, I don’t want to go back. After waiting in a long, uncomfortable line for hours and hours, it was my turn! With luck, I passed and was able to live and start a new life! I have never been so happy in my life! Finally, a new fresh start. I know life here will be much better, but I will have to find a job soon. Although I am curious what life would be like here, I am also scared. What if people don't hire me? What if I can’t find a job? I have no places I can go to, I don’t even know anyone here. I am glad to have a fresh start on this island, but I am worried about what the future will hold. Maybe I might actually regret living here, but now is not the time to be sad! My new home is here, and I am glad to be one of the few to pass.
   I  can’t wait to meet new faces, and make new friends. Maybe even find people to call “family”. I could even start my own business and create a new store, or learn new things to get a better job and become successful! Although I wish to start big, I need to find a place to stay. Hopefully I can find somewhere cheap and cozy! Next time you see me I will be a new person! Wish me luck. This is where I flip to a new chapter in my life, and hopefully this is the good part of my book.

I thought everything would be smooth. I currently live in a very small home, trying to get money. I thought I would be able to live a dream, but right now I just have aches everywhere.
My job isn't doing well, I have to work hard to get so little money. I haven't made any friends, and I am alone. This is not what I imagined America to be. I wish I could make friends, or at least get a higher pay. So many people are hiring immigrants like me off the streets. Things are starting to change just because of us. Everything is getting more advance, and people are moving. Streets are getting busier by the minute. Maybe I should move and star working at a factory instead.
