The summative evaluation occurs at the end of a program cycle and it provides an overall description of program effectiveness.
Hi, Alicia! Your padlet is very thorough, and your voice narrative enhanced the presentation by explaining the details of the program and evaluation. I like that you focused on using the data to improve the structure of the program. Your evaluation questions seem on track. I was just wondering about the personal growth piece that you mentioned as part of the three areas of enhancement (professional, personal, and academic). Do any of your questions directly address that aspect of the program? Maybe number three does, and perhaps it does not need to be included at all as part of the evaluation. Just food for thought...Patti

Hi Alicia,
Great job on the padlet. This sounds like a great program, certainly an empowering program for a community college. It definitely seems like something that would positively effect retention. In going into your data collection, I would think about utilizing a survey and direct questions in regards to the mentors and the effectiveness on that aspect. Mentors can be a tricky thing when they are assigned. It would be interesting to know if the connection to the mentor had a positive or negative impact on the program, especially in regards to student retention.

Stacy

Just as a minor suggestion, I do think to survey some of the members mentioned in the resources/inputs would answer a lot of the key evaluation questions and some of the questions found in the data collection section thus, simplifying the assignment while giving you the chance to really conduct a thorough analysis. Great work!
Shafiah
