The summative evaluation occurs at the end of a program cycle and it provides an overall description of program effectiveness. Summative evaluations examine program outcomes to determine overall program effectiveness and it is a method for answering some of the following questions (Russ-eft & Preskill, 2009):

• Were your program objectives met?

• Will you need to improve and modify the overall structure of the program?

Great job on the padlet. This sounds like a great program, certainly an empowering program for a community college. It definitely seems like something that would positively effect retention. In going into your data collection, I would think about utilizing a survey and direct questions in regards to the mentors and the effectiveness on that aspect. Mentors can be a tricky thing when they are assigned. It would be interesting to know if the connection to the mentor had a positive or negative impact on the program, especially in regards to student retention.

Your Padlet is wow! I really liked the format and how the information flows throughout the presentation. Just as a minor suggestion, I do think to survey some of the members mentioned in the resources/inputs would answer a lot of the key evaluation questions and some of the questions found in the data collection section thus, simplifying the assignment while giving you the chance to really conduct a thorough analysis. Great work!
