The animals wanted milk but the pigs said that they shouldn't let the milk distract them from the meeting but after the meeting the animals went out to find that the milks had disappeared. For instance, he gave himself more food than other animals and sleeps on the bed as he proclaims himself as the “brain worker” which he is “responsible for the management of the whole farm” and changed the rules after being exposed by adding “no sleeping with sheets”. Besides this, Napoleon also ordered the chickens to give up all their eggs in order to exchange for more food, and after starving 9 hens to death, he got the eggs and gave it to the humans. The reason I say old major falls under identification because in chapter one, everyone always followed behind him. Everyone listened to his word and agreed with whatever he said. He was the wisest and oldest one on the farm so he would know. In chapter one, it states that old major held a meeting with all the other animals And told them his dream. They believed his word because just three days later, he died in his sleep.
