Talking about the symbol of Vietnamese culture, it is impossible not to mention the Ao Dai. It has a long history of development since the 18th century. After being evolved from the outfit of officers under the Nguyen Empire into the five-paneled aristocratic gowns, it continue to be innovative into a two pieces dress to catch the modern trend in the 1920s and 1930s. At that time it had a large form which covered the entire body; however, in the 1950s, some designers in Saigon tightened it to fit to the curves. The ao dai when worn on the body is like a miniature map of the S-shaped strip of land, clearly showing the delicate lines of the body, exalting the perfect S-shaped curve. A traditional Ao Dai of Vietnam has the structure of sleeves, collar, shirt and pants, with men's ao dai is similar to women's ao dai, but the waist is unfortunately tight, the body is usually straight.
The image of Vietnamese ao dai is always present in the international arena in large and small competitions or is always in the core of people's daily lives. From students to working agencies or festivals and especially holidays Ao dai is always cherished and used by Vietnamese people on the most important days of the country and of their lives. Life is growing and changing every day. Although the needs and fashion styles change according to the people of the times, the Ao Dai will still be a symbolic costume for Vietnamese women that no other outfit in the future can replace. The image of a graceful Vietnamese woman with ao dai will forever be a deep impression for domestic and foreign tourists and it is always the traditional cultural beauty of Vietnamese women.

Just like Vietnam's Ao Dai, Japan's Kimono, Korea also has an extremely impressive traditional costume, which is Hanbok.Hanbok means Korean dress, is the traditional costume of Koreans. Hanbok dates back to the Joseon period, and has been popularly worn in Korea for a long time. Currently, Hanbok is mainly worn more during the holidays, when there are important events. Women's Hanbok consists of two main parts: Jeogori and Chima. Jeogori is a short coat worn on the upper body and Chima is a flared skirt with a high waist. There is also an otgoreum bow which is 2 strips of several pieces tied together. Hanboks for men are usually longer than women's and can extend to the waist or lower. Like women's hanbok, men's hanbok also has a ribbon tied at the chest combined with Baji pants with a wide waistband to create a comfortable feeling for the wearer.
Hanbok as a cultural symbol of Korea has been recognized worldwide. Wearing Hanbok is pride I am Korean with unique beauty and deep cultural values
Just like Vietnam's Ao Dai, Korean Hanbok is loved by many foreign tourists. In modern life, Hanbok is not used often, but that's why it has a special beauty when it is far back in the past and associated with ancestral traditions.

Each country in the world has a characteristic costume associated with the formation and development of the country. Cambodia is no exception with the image of traditional Sampot costumes. Sampot is a traditional Cambodian fabric and is quite similar to the traditional costumes of neighboring countries such as Laos and Thailand, but each has its own unique features. The traditional sampot is a long rectangular piece of cloth wrapped around the waist, covering the belly and legs, tied at the front of the abdomen. The upper body, traditionally, Cambodians will use Chang Pong - a colorful fabric that crosses over one shoulder and hides the woman's chest, leaving only a little bit of the belly. Sampot is divided into many different types such as Sampot Chang Kben which is a rectangular style of pants, this type of sampot is usually wrapped around the waist, loosened and tied into a small knot in front of the abdomen, fixed with a metal belt. Almost all Cambodian women wear Sampot Chang Kben on special occasions or events. There are also many other types.
Sampot is ingrained in the subconscious of Cambodians. Even when the French brought Western-style clothes to Cambodia, it was still customary to wear Sampot. Royals and government officials use Sampot Chang Kben along with official coats. Today Cambodians also weave Sampot Chan Kben on special occasions, the poor Khmer living in the countryside always feel comfortable choosing to wear sampot instead of the traditional style. Western clothes. The fabric used by the poor is not hand-woven silk but batik pattern fabric imported from Indonesia. No matter what, for everyone living in Cambodia, sampot is always considered a beautiful national costume.

Originally, "Kimono" was a Japanese word for "clothes". But in recent years, the word has been used to refer to traditional Japanese clothing. The Kimono sets that we know today were born in the Heian period (794-1192). Japanese people usually wear a set of separate top and bottom (pants or skirt) or one piece of clothing. They are very easy to fold. They are also suitable for all weather. They are also worn inside to keep warm in winter. Kimono made from cool fabrics like linen are suitable for summer. These advantages make kimono a part of Japanese people's lives. Kimono was worn in different events such as holiday, wedding or dress up now. Sewing a female Kimono is quite simple with a single method: 1 piece of fabric 12-13m long and 36-40cm wide is cut into 8 pieces (5 pieces for men's kimono). These pieces are then hand-stitched together to create the basic shape of the Kimono. An indispensable accessory to identify the kimono, which is also the pride of Japanese costume artists, is the obi sash, which is used to fix the folds of the shirt and as a decorative highlight for the kimono. Although kimono is no longer a daily wear for the Japanese, they still prefer to wear kimono at various times throughout the year.

The first prerequisites for the French national costume appeared in the 17th century. French peasants made their clothes from cloth, wool, cotton yarn. During the closing years of the French Revolution, festive versions of the national costume began to appear. For man, by the early 19th century, knee-length trousers combined with leggings or socks tied below the knees became fashionable among the French peasantry. They relied on shirts, vests, jackets and scarves. Later, near the middle of the century, men's fashion diversified with tight pants. And Women's national costumes were much simpler. It consists of a loose skirt decorated with frills or ruffles and a cardigan. All this is complemented by an apron and a scarf tied around the shoulders. In each province, some of the national costumes have different embroidery, the shape of the head scarf or the color of the apron.Today, patriots try to revive old traditions and organize carnivals and carnivals, including contests for the best costume. Such events are especially popular in Provence, Bretonnia, Savoy.

If most of the countries' traditional costumes have only one (for example, Vietnam is Ao Dai, Korea is Hanbok, Japan is Kimono ...) then in Myanmar there are two traditional costumes, one for for men. and 1 for women.
For men called Longchy. It was a pair of ankle-length pants, made of cotton. There are no pants, zippers or buttons, simply a piece of fabric that is wrapped around the leg and knotted at the front of the abdomen. Longchy is usually worn with a white shirt or Taipon shirt (the traditional shirt of Myanmar, almost like a shirt) and the shirt is tucked into the pants.
for women is Thummy, the pants are also Longchy pants but it is colorful and patterned, women use a strip of fabric attached to the skirt as a belt to tie their Longchy, instead of tying a knot. Above them, they wear a long dress that just reaches the waist, with many neck styles such as round neck, V-neck or Polo neck. Then put on another thin shirt over it.
Myanmar is not only a beautiful country in terms of culture and natural scenery, but also beautiful in simple simplicity from costumes, daily life to spiritual life.
