The government should do more to help lower the amount of deaths caused by guns in the United States for people’s personal safety because statistic show that over 13,000 people are killed by guns each year, some say guns should stay legal because they have the right to bear arms and they might be killing people but they’re “protecting” people also. When reading the article “Gun Violence” they talk about how many people are affected by gun violence and gun control a year, in the year of 2006 11,547 individuals were killed by guns. When you think about gun violence you probably think about people dying because of gangs or because of previous incidents but, do you ever stop to think about the people that are being killed with no reason or moral or because of mistaken identity? For example the school shooting in Florida has made a huge impact on people but, all 17 of those kids were killed with no reason or moral.When looking back on the Sandy Hook Elementary School Shooting all 28 of those kids that were killed were little girls and boys in first and second grade, killed with no reason or moral.Lastly, access to guns should be made harder for people by the government because, the government is making it easier for people to bare arms.
